Yesterday, the House of Representatives rejected the impeachment charges by a narrow margin, with a finally tally of 216-214. Three Republicans defected to the other side, enough to sink the measure and deal a blow to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Mayorkas lives to see another day in office.
